How to Choose School Management Software for UAE and Saudi Schools (2026 Guide)

To choose school management software for a school in the UAE, Saudi Arabia or elsewhere in the Gulf, first list what your regulator and your parents expect: the languages your reports must be in, how fees and VAT invoices work, and where student data may be stored. Then shortlist systems that meet those requirements, compare the yearly cost for your enrolment, and trial the strongest two with real classes.
This guide is written by Skolex, so we're one of the vendors compared. The table only uses what each vendor publishes on its own website, with links and the date we checked.
What should Gulf schools look for in school management software?
Gulf private schools vary a lot, from large international schools to small community schools that follow the Pakistani or another national curriculum. These criteria apply to most:
- Languages. Which languages do your report cards and parent messages need: English, Arabic, Urdu or others? Check printed reports, not only the menus.
- Regulator requirements. Ask what data and reports your regulator expects, such as KHDA in Dubai, ADEK in Abu Dhabi or the Ministry of Education in Saudi Arabia, and whether the software can produce them.
- Data location and protection. Where is student data stored, and does that meet your country's data protection rules and your board's policy?
- Fees and VAT. Can the system issue invoices and receipts in the format your accountant needs, including VAT where it applies?
- Teaching and administration together. Do you want lessons, quizzes and the gradebook in the same system as attendance, fees and report cards?
- Grades covered. Does it cover every stage you teach, from KG to Grade 12?
- Price model. Per student, per school or per year, and in which currency?
How do the main options compare?
The table covers seven systems that Gulf schools come across when they search. It shows what each vendor states publicly; ask every vendor about anything marked "not stated".
| Vendor | Who it's for | Grades stated | Published pricing | Free trial | Urdu | Source (last verified) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Skolex | Private schools and chains in Pakistan, the Gulf and worldwide | KG through Grade 12 | School: USD 200/month up to 200 students (USD 180/month billed yearly). Network: custom | 30 days, up to 50 students, no card | Report cards and announcements in English and Urdu | skolex.online/pricing |
| Schooliee | Private schools in Pakistan | Not stated | Pro Rs 7 and Elite Rs 14 per student per month, 200-student minimum; custom from Rs 5; yearly billing 30% off | Not stated (free setup, data import and training) | Urdu and English (services page) | schooliee.com/pricingschooliee.com/services |
| MjFour | Pakistan: schools, colleges and academies | Not stated by grade | PKR 1,000/month up to 200 students, or PKR 11,000/year | No trial wording found | Urdu on screen and on print | mjfour.com/products/school-management |
| SIMSIN | Schools in Pakistan (ERP plus website and marketing services) | Not stated | Not published | Not stated | Not stated | simsin.com.pk ERP page |
| Fedena | Global (K12 and higher education) | "K12 & Higher-ed" | Standard USD 999/year; Premium USD 1,399/year | 14 days | "20+ languages"; Urdu not named | fedena.com/pricing-and-plans |
| Teachmint | Global; the main site now sells connected-classroom hardware (Teachmint X) | Not stated | Not published; its ERP and pricing URLs redirect to the home page | Not stated | Not stated | teachmint.com |
| QuickSchools | Global, US-focused | Not stated as K-12 | USD 0.99, 1.49 or 2.99 per student per month | 30 days | Not stated | quickschools.com pricing |
Competitor details come from each vendor's public website on the date shown. "Not stated" means we didn't find it on that page, not that the product lacks it. Prices are in each vendor's own currency and may have changed; check with the vendor before deciding. Spotted an error? Email contact@skolex.online and we'll correct it.
Notes on reading it:
- Fedena and QuickSchools publish US-dollar prices; Fedena prices per year and QuickSchools per student per month.
- Schooliee, MjFour and SIMSIN are Pakistan-focused and publish rupee prices or none; check whether they serve schools in your country.
- Teachmint's school ERP pages now redirect to its classroom-hardware site, so confirm what it currently sells.
- The Urdu column matters mainly to Pakistani-curriculum and community schools in the Gulf. We did not compare Arabic support, because few vendors state it clearly; ask each one.
What questions should you ask every vendor?
Ask the same questions of every vendor, including us:
- Can report cards and parent messages be produced in Arabic, and do they print correctly right to left?
- Which reports does our regulator (KHDA, ADEK, the Saudi Ministry of Education or another) need from us, and can the system produce them?
- Where is our data hosted, and can you put that in the contract?
- Can invoices and receipts include our VAT details where VAT applies?
- What does it cost per year for our enrolment, in which currency, and what is extra?
- Who imports our existing student records, and how long does it take?
- What support hours do you offer in our time zone?
- Can we trial it with a real class first?

How much does school management software cost in the Gulf?
Prices are usually in US dollars or local currency and follow one of three models: per student per month, a flat monthly or yearly fee, or a custom quote. Turn every option into a yearly total for your enrolment before comparing.
Skolex costs USD 200 a month for up to 200 students on the School plan, or USD 180 a month billed yearly (USD 2,160 a year). Groups of schools use the Network plan, priced on request. Every school can try it free for 30 days with up to 50 students, and no card is needed. See pricing.
Where does Skolex fit for Gulf schools?
Skolex suits small and mid-sized private schools from KG through Grade 12 that want teaching tools and administration in one system. Report cards and announcements work in English and Urdu, which helps community schools whose parents read Urdu.
Some things to know before you shortlist us:
- Hosting. School data is hosted on a US-based server. If your regulator or board requires data to stay in the country, ask us before you start. See our security page.
- Arabic. Ask us directly about Arabic report cards and right-to-left printing, and check them in the trial.
- Payments. Fee management covers receipts and dues tracking; an online payment gateway is available on request.
The K-12 overview and features pages show what each module does.
How often is this guide updated?
We re-check every vendor's website each quarter and update the table and its "last verified" dates. If something is out of date, email contact@skolex.online and we'll fix it.
