Report cards generated from the gradebook

On paper, a report card is the last copy of every mark a teacher recorded in a term, rewritten by hand or retyped into a template. Each copy is a chance for a mistake, and the work lands in the same few weeks for every teacher.

In Skolex the marks are already in the online gradebook, weighted per subject and totalled. The report card is generated from that data, so the numbers on the card are the numbers the teacher entered, and attendance is added the same way.

Multilingual templates, including Urdu

Many parents read Urdu more comfortably than English. Skolex's report card templates are multilingual and include English and Urdu, so schools can give families a report card they can read without help. It's one of the reasons Skolex fits schools in Pakistan and Pakistani-curriculum schools in the Gulf.

Remarks and sign-off without chasing paper

Each subject teacher adds a remark for their subject. The principal adds a final remark and signature. Nobody passes a stack of cards from desk to desk to collect signatures.

  • Subject teachers: remarks per subject, on marks they've already entered
  • Principal: final remark and signature
  • Office: no formatting, printing or collating
  • Parents and students: a PDF they can download any time

Download and share with parents

Finished report cards are available to students and parents in their portal as PDFs they can download at any time. A parent who loses a printed copy can download it again. For a comparison of the two approaches, read digital vs paper report cards.
